In my vegetable garden, I often have to endure different pests that are attracted to my vegetable plants, but cause damage. Instead of using harsh chemicals to control them, many plants are beneficial in either keeping away pests, attracting them to focus on one of these plants rather than the ones you want free of damage, or they can help attract other insects that will help rid your garden of your unwanted pests. Here are some great, easy to read lists or articles that will point out several beneficial plants, and in which way they are helpful. Some are flowers, others are herbs. Flowers and herbs have the added benefit of adding beauty to your garden, or food.
